I am usually underwhelmed by the movies that come out at Christmas time, or worse, totally hyped just to be let down (yes Star Wars, I’m looking at you). This year I am cautiously optimistic about the sci-fi action flick Passengers. Staring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, *sigh*, the movie is shaping up to be a winner. Yet can a movie with basically only two characters (and a very suave robot bartender played by Michael Sheen) really hold my attention for two hours? So far the effects look big budget and the story intriguing. But we will see if Lawrence and Pratt can deliver the explosive on-screen chemistry needed to make this movie a hit.

So I just got back from two weeks in Iceland (which were epic) and while most people come home with t-shirts or handicrafts as souvenirs, I came home with something better: A new story idea! It will have to wait until I finish the current novel I’m working on, but I hope to get started around Christmas.
In the meantime, here are some ideas on how to blur good and evil in your stories.
